It was a friendship forged in the shifting sands and sun-baked rock of the Colorado desert. Eco-Dynamics co-founders Aaron Coons and the late James Simons envisioned a company that would specialize in forging connections between people and the natural world. This company would draw on their professional experience in search and rescue, adventure programming, leadership development, group facilitation, wilderness expeditions, and eco-tourism guiding.

Together, James and Aaron have reached nearly 300,000 people from all over the world. Their passion for wild places took them from the desert of California to the tundra of Alaska, where they lived for six months of each year and worked as sub-arctic guides under North America's highest peak, Denali. Each fall they returned to the magic and mystery of the desert, seeking to share its secrets with the many travellers who pass through the Coachella Valley.

"Wilderness is the anchor that keeps you in touch with yourself," James once said. Today, Aaron continues their shared vision, with the goal of connecting visitors to the anchors that lead to a deeper understanding of ourselves and the natural world.
